The latest figure I could see was 1.5%, not that much over the target the Steve set.
Don't read the % figure of the Smartphone market as being the target Steve was after!

There's such a thing as 'audiophile' (i.e. akin to fanboy, IMO) and HiFi (i.e. REAL improvements). I believe in the latter and put my money THERE, not magic tricks. And again, there is no shame or 'BS' about my delivery system. What is a shame is that you feel the need to blast something you don't seem to have even tried. There is no limitations with audio an iTunes that I can see. Other than FLAC or Orbis (I don't need either), what's missing? It does MP3, AAC and Apple Lossless.
As for 720p, I could go into scalers and why 720p looks bad on many cheap-o 1080p sets (same reason any resolution less than native looks bad on monitors that don't have high quality scalers; my $600 LG 24" looks GREAT at all resolutions. My $300 LG 24" looks like blurry crap at anything other than native. Look into it. It's why you think 720p sucks. Look up eye resolving distance and you'll see everything I said is 100% true. Watching 1080p on a 42" set is POINTLESS at more than 6 feet or so. You cannot see more than 720p at that distance on that size set, PERIOD. That's not my opinion. It's SCIENCE. And no I don't have to play with 'channels' on my router. I don't know WTF you get these odd ideas from. I just select either 2.4 or 5.0 GHz and it goes without a hitch.
Anyway, have fun with your system. I don't feel like sitting here putting it down just for the heck of it. I wouldn't touch Sonos with a 10 foot pole, personally (obscenely overpriced for what you get, IMO...a lot like Bose really). But if you enjoy it, that's all that matters.

A shame about scrapping the idea of a ground up design - I hope that doesn't lead to a lack of innovation. That's what really leads Apple along! Although if they just make a killer phone (I'm sure they will at some point...) it's bound to sell buckets loads!

portal player had the software, pixo designed the UI, toshiba had the new 1.8" hard drives and tony fadell who came up with the whole idea was an outside vendor who pitched the ipod to real networds first (who turned them down, genius).
now admittedly, it was apple, jobs and ives' that took a good idea and refined it to being the great product introduced in '03, but the ipod was an interesting break from apple's NIH syndrome. so much so that i question the TS report about apple going for a ground up design.

everyone here is on facebook, exposing their real names, friends, user uploaded photos that are under the control of facebook under the new TOS agreement, where they live, phone numbers, what they like, what they dislike, their status updates, etc.

Incorrect. You're confusing it with a location device. However as traffic receivers become more pervasive and ask you to report back for data. Yes.

Well anyways, if Apple could get Conroes into iMacs it would be great. A challenge I know (and I still personally think it is more likely to be a Merom iMac) but it would help to be that little bit more competitive. Seems to me that for just a mere $100 million (mere to Apple anyway seeing as how they have over $8 billion in cash currently), Apple has just bought Creative out of the mp3 player market. Not to mention that Apple will now be receiving royalties from Creative via the Made for iPod licensing. This is yet another brilliant move by Steve Jobs and is absolutely a win/win for both Apple and Creative.

The Wildlife 720p HD stream from Apple is less than 3000 kbits/sec. For comparison, the Pixlet demo is like 27 mbits/sec. A 1080p h.264 stream is less than 10 mbits/sec.
So with those numbers, a 720p stream with 5.1 audio should easily stream over even a 10 mbit network device. So I can easily see this working over 802.11g.
Now the only issue is what they are going to put in the device to decode the streams with. Forward compatibility with future codecs would be nice.

Uhh, no, it won't. As long as the logic board is at the thickest point then they will be able to house the same power components as the current Pro.
Making the Pro thinner and removing the optical drive does not make a big MBA. Not in the slightest.
Even the 15" Zacates have optical drives. An MBP without optical drive would look bad.

Anybody responsible for guarding should have a gun. If the person isn't qualified to carry a gun, they he/she isn't qualified to guard anything and shouldn't be a guard.
When you're exchanging gunfire with a criminal, the main goal is not to wound; it is to remove the threat to your life completely. Let's say the guard shoots the guy in the arm, the guy's going to be so pumped up on adrenaline that he's not going to even know he's shot, giving him plenty of opportunity to take another shot.
Ask yourself this: If it were your life he was guarding, what would you want the guard to do?

they are using the OS X API in the context it was meant to be used in. as far as i can tell these images aren't loaded into the iPhone application itself and are rather transmitted over-the-air as the application is being used, thus they are being called by the OS while the application is being run and are merely being displayed through the iPhone application, its like saying you can't see any apple trademark icons through a VPN client.
Or like saying that if my app has a UIWebView, I have to prevent the user from navigating to Apple.com lest he be subjected to seeing Apple's trademarked logos and pictures of Apple computers.
