If you're a bit comfortable with Terminal try using chmod it might fix your issue. If you don't, just google for chmod.
What I would try:
1. login as root in the terminal
2. cd to the wiki directory
3. type: chmod -R 777 ./
explenation:
-R = will do this to all the subdirectories & files
777 = permissions (everyone can read & write) you might want to change this.
Hope this helps...

Spent a couple of hours on the new Apple Discussion boards this morning tearing my hair out.
Only three things certain in this life:
Death, Taxes and Change.
Link below might help
https://discussions.apple.com/___sbsstatic___/apple/tutorial/welcome.html
The New forum has rather more options but still a very good resource as long as all the helpers don't get scared away ;)
The old forums hadn't changed for years and was showing it's age..

Seems like it's just invisible updates (ie. behind the scenes bugfixes). I don't see any new features.
So the nasty ical is still there? I hope that goes away; it's horrible looking on the desktop. With limited real estate on the screen, all that extra stuff just takes up space...
EDIT: Just looked at the screenshot from Dev. Prev. 2. It doesn't take up much space, actually, but it still seems out of place on an app that might share a screen with other apps. Part of the beauty of OS X is that many of the apps look alike, and there's not a lot of mixed up UI elements.

Sorry to disappoint you, but "wake with trackpad" will not be possible in Lion anymore (at least, it's not meant to be). Why? Simply because the new iTunes screen saver's functions require trackpad interaction.
So no, it's not a bug.

I finally figured out why my iBook wouldn't sleep unless I closed the lid or chose sleep from the menu.
It must have something to do with the Canon LiDE 30 that I have, because when I left the scanner plugged in and walked away for 5 minutes, the iBook went to sleep.
I'm running an iBook 500mhz Combo, 640MB RAM, 10.2.6 and Canon's latest scanner driver.
Any ideas?

You can partition your hard drive using Disk Utility and then install Windows onto the new partition. Just remember to name the partition into something that you'll recognise easily during the Windows install, such as BOOTCAMP, and format it as MS-DOS.
But if BCA can't make contiguous space, Disk Utility won't be able to either. (They both call the same underlying helper utilities).
You need to boot from your OS X install disc and run Disk Utility from that for it to be any different than the results from Boot Camp Assistant.
The other difference to keep in mind when installing without BCA, is that the Startup Disk won't be set to Windows so you will have to hold Alt/Option to select the appropriate boot drive every time it wants to reboot until you get it installed.

Go into the Apps area and check the settings. You're trying to sync music now, so it's trying to sync the apps too, and you haven't transferred them to iTunes, so it's trying to delete them from the iPad as well. I don't have my iPad handy to check settings, but maybe you don't have manually sync selected?

But I want the notifications. I just don't want (now) 15 of the same ones...
You can change it to daily and you won't get a separate notification for every post. It's much easier to simply visit the User CP and see what threads you're subscribed to that have new posts. I prefer not getting any emails.

You can use [indexpath row] in an if statement, along with the number of the row, to get the row of the tableview that is selected. Then you can push the different views.
That worked great.
Thanks!!

There's gotta be some sort of newer solution than OggDrop for this purpose, or if there isn't, surely an AppleScript can be created to automate this task. I have the Ogg components for QuickTime installed, as well as QuickTime 7 Pro. I've tested the export function in QuickTime also, which works perfectly - creating a nice Ogg Vorbis file. Surely there's a way to automate a mass-convert job of over 12,000 files using this approach... Google searches have proved fruitless.

Meh. Canadian airsoft are required by law to be transparent. I don't have one, but they look very cheap compared to black ones, even if the insides are the same.

I added a folder to Xcode with a collection of images, 456 images to be precise. I need to add these images to an NSMutableArray so I can later view them in an IKImageBrowserView. I could add each of these images manually to the NSMutableArray, but that would take a very long time. How can I access folders that are used by my program and add them to an NSMutableArray?
Thanks
Why would it take a long time? This is what loops are for.

I'm tring to sell it because I bought 2 iPad 2's hoping to make a $100...
You are going to get a lot of HATE from the members of MacRumors if you are trying to make a profit off the iPad 2 release. Shame on you BTW.

Hello fellow iPhone lovers!
I own an iPhone 4. In some time, i've noticed that i have some bubbles on the inside of the backside glass of it. Here's a picture: http://img641.imageshack.us/i/imag0056r.jpg/
Then yesterday evening i noticed, that i where able to make a clicking noise with the backside of the two glasspieces, which got me worried. I therefore went down to the gymnasium i study at (who sold me the iPhone), and the IT guy there quickly explained that the bubbles were indeed signs of water. He then tightned the screws, so that i werent able to make the clicking noise anymore.
My questions are:
If it's some kind of water damage, and the back hasnt been tightned enough,is it then my responsibility if water got in? As far as i'm aware, my iPhone 4 has never been in contact with water, which is what confuses me most (maybe highest handsweat, but that should'nt be enough to cause such a problem - or should it?).
So what can i do about it, and will the normal Apple warranty cover the the "damages" (the phone is still fully opperational)?
Sincerely,
Mikkel, Denmark
